Hillside Beach Club - A slice of paradise in Turkey

Hillside Beach Club - A slice of paradise in Turkey

February is usually the month we start thinking about and planning our summer trips for the year. Days start getting longer and we start longing for warm weather, sandy beaches and crystal clear water. This year with everything that is going on is obviously different, but we would still like to give you some travel inspo and help you dream about future travels!

The Hillside Beach Club is a little gem on the Aegean coast of the Mediterranean. We visited last September for the first time and we had no idea that Turkey had such beautiful beaches. Getting there was relatively easy, as we flew from London Heathrow to Dalaman with British Airways via direct flight and then the hotel arranged a transfer to the resort for us (which took around 1 hour).

Beaches

The first thing that strikes you once you reach the Hillside Beach Club are the incredible views over the resort’s privately-owned Kalemya Bay. The sunsets are absolutely stunning, plus the fact that they are only exclusive to guests makes you feel as if you were secluded from the rest of the world.

The resort has 3 beautiful beaches, all with crystal-clear water. The main beach buzzes with activities throughout the day, great for families who can leave their kids to laugh and splash in the warm water while still relaxing in the sun while sipping on a cocktail from the bar. If instead like us you have travelled to this little slice of paradise to relax, you can head to the Serenity Beach or the Silent Beach, which are both adults only. We spent most of our time at the latter, as we just loved listening to the sound of the waves and of the pines swaying in the wind, while feeling as if we were on our own private island.

The Restaurants

The main restaurant of the resort is a buffet-style dining venue and is a real festival of food, where you can savour flavours from around the world. Our favourite restaurants – however – were the chic Pasha on the Bay and the Beach Bar & Restaurant. The Pasha on the Bay is a candle-lit beachside eatery that offers a really calm and romantic atmosphere under the stars.

The Mediterranean cuisine and service were exceptional, we are still dreaming about that dinner today during these cold February days!

The Beach Bar & Restaurant on the other hand serves fresh Italian food and is perfect if you want to enjoy one of those gorgeous sunsets we talked about before.

Both restaurants need to be booked in advance if you don’t want to be disappointed, we suggest to go early as – as you can image – they get booked up pretty quickly!

The SPA

The Sanda Nature Spa – found along side the Silent Beach – will make you feel as if you have just landed directly in Bali!

With trees trunks twisting peacefully throughout the rooms, everything here oozes serenity. We had a massage with the Balinese therapists, who helped us get into a deep state of relaxation while listening to the sounds of nearby birds. If you do decide to visit the Hillside Beach Club, then the spa is a must.

Planning your pretty little trip!

The Hillside Beach Club will be reopening on April 10th this year and we would recommend booking early, as the resort gets fully booked really quickly. If you are travelling from London the best option is to fly to Dalaman as it is only an hour away by car. Temperatures are quite hot until at least October, so if you fancy a late Mediterranean summer trip like us and don’t want to compromise on the weather, this is the place for you!
